Now You Can Order Seafood Online From Grocery Stores That Accept EBT

In the past, a person only got the opportunity to use the EBT card to buy seafood through in store purchase only. So, if he/she wanted to shop seafood online, then he/she wasn’t able to use the EBT card to pay for the bill. Fortunately, that’s not the case anymore.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) now has a pilot program, called the SNAP Online Purchasing Pilot (URL: “fns.usda.gov/snap/online“) which allows people who get SNAP benefits and use their EBT card to purchase items like seafood from the nearest groceries online.

So, if you want to purchase seafood online with your EBT card, then it is now easily possible through this pilot program.

Summary

SNAP benefits help people who are homeless, disabled, elderly, and low-income. A low-income person gets food benefits through the EBT card. An EBT card helps you to access your benefits just like a debit card does.

There are seafood market places like Boston Public Market, John Yi Fish Market, Portland Fish Market, and Saltwater Seafood Market and Fry Shack that surely accept EBT cards. There are many groceries that accept EBT cards to purchase seafood, and some accept online orders for seafood with EBT cards. We may hope that opportunities will spread day by day and buying seafood with an EBT card will be more available in future days.
